Will it arrive before Christmas?
Yes, if you order by 12 December. Typical delivery is about 8 days. After 12 December we still ship straight away, but we cannot promise it lands in time.
How many outlets do I need?
The power cord is 3 metres, about 10 feet, with a standard US plug. Two sets connect end to end and run from a single outlet. So one or two sets need one outlet, and four sets need two. Worth checking before you order — it is the one thing people get wrong.
Can I leave them out in rain and snow?
The tubes are sealed and made to stay outside through the season. The adapter that plugs into the wall is not weatherproof — put it under an eave, in a covered outdoor outlet, or in a weatherproof outlet box. That is the whole maintenance story.
How many sets do I need?
One set covers a medium tree or about 15 feet of railing. Two cover a large tree or a full porch front. Four cover most front yards. If you are unsure, two is the size most people end up wishing they had ordered.
30 cm or 50 cm?
The 30 cm is the classic — subtle, and it disappears into the branches until it lights up. The 50 cm is two thirds longer and reads from across the street. For a large tree or a long roofline, take the 50.
How hard is the installation?
Every tube has a loop at the top. Hang it over a branch, a hook, a railing or a gutter edge, click the tubes into the chain, and plug it in. No drilling, no clips to buy, and for most placements no ladder. About ten minutes for a full set.
Is it UL or ETL certified?
No. Our supplier does not hold those certificates for this product, and we would rather tell you than let you assume. It is a low-voltage decorative light for domestic indoor and outdoor use.
Can I hang them indoors?
Yes. They work on a stair banister, a window frame or a ceiling beam.
What if a tube stops working?
Email us a photo. We send a replacement — no return needed, no return shipping.
